Yes--the stretches in the book Pain Free by Pete Egoscue will do the trick. 
I've seen it work miracles on "bone on bone" issues.  When you start out, it
can take up to 40 minutes to do the stretches in the morning.  Once the pain
is gone you get down to about 10 minutes a day to keep the pain away.
