Hey Malcolm, I had always wondered why some adults would use mud for stings. Now I think I know - it would be the same idea behind Steve's suggestion to use bentonite clay! I bought some a while back (package says it's made for use in fish ponds) to use in my fish aquarium, and have been wondering if it would be ok for topical and/or oral use along with CS. I need more hours in the day for researching the many various things I want to know more about... >grin<
Thanks! My aunt would scoop up some mud and put it right on the sting; not only was it cool, but it drew the smarting of the sting as well. This was black sticky adobe mud from beside the creek. YMMV.
