Hmm. Filtered tap water (faucet filter, waterpik R-7 filter) it pegs my PWT. After then being filtered through the Brita (pitcher filter) it reads 199.6. Lotta stuff in the water here, huh?
Ok so I tried another test, and ran unfiltered tap water through the Brita. It pegged the meter. Could the 199.6 reading of water that had been run through the faucet filter, then through the Brita have been an artifact of that water being refrigerated, and the plain tap water run through the Brita was ambient temperature? I do know that distilled water that is even slightly warm reads a lot higher than the same water once it has come down to room temperature. But I didn't think cold water would make the reading down to 199 from over 999.9.
