I know this question has been answered before. Unfortunately, I can't recall the answer. I set up to make some CS the other night (I'm using the Silver Puppy). I cleaned my silver rods with a clean green scrubbing pad until they looked shiny. I used steam distilled water and checked it with a TDS prior to beginning. I also cleaned my vessel with 3% H2o2 and let it thoroughly dry. 1.5 hours later my rods were covered in black and wisps of black were in the bottom of my glass. What happened?
