Yes Lisa, It has always been known as turps around here in South Africa. British call it genuine turpentine, Americans call it 100% gum spirits of turpentine or something like that. I got mine at a hardware store for furniture finishing and waxing. Definitely do not use mineral turpentine
I haven't kept any of the brand name info that has appeared, because it would not be of any use to me.
