I don't think there is any hard and fast rules. I guess you could do as I do. After a lot of trial and error I found that a cup of CS twice a week is enough for maintenance. This is enough to keep me from catching any cold. Sometimes I forget and if I start having cold symptoms then I would drink 5 to 6 cups a day. I don't believe there is any evidence of excessive silver colloidal solutions having any bad effect (apart some diarrhea which you deal with by eating some yogurt). The rare cases of argyria reported and fussed about were people who drank silver salts. The whore doctors paid to frighten people about CS are divided in 2 sections. One section speaks of silver (omitting the word salt) and this the "honest" one. The other are pure liars and twist the truth by mentioning "colloidal silver". I don't think you need to worry about drinking too much, but common sense tells us not to use anything to excess.

Is there any REAL evidence that 8 ounces a day or more is dangerous for a long period of time? Perhaps months or longer as there is a medical need. Also, when making Colloidal Silver, do you have to re-wash the quart jars you make the silver in each time or can they just be rinsed out with the Distilled water and then on to the next batch. I am using those brown gallon jugs with the pumps that the original silver came in when I purchased it to store my homemade brew and there is not way of getting a brush in them to clean them. I just refill them with my homemade silver. Is this safe? Finally, I would like to make a gallon at a time as I have about 9 people I am making this brew for. Could I use a gallon jar instead of a quart jar? And if not, what would be a good Silver maker to buy that makes a gallon at a time. Thank you so very much for your help. Carol
