Hello James,
I believe the reference to which you allude relates to
DR. John Ott's book, "Health and Light". published originally by Pocket Books,
1973. Dr. Ott was the man who conducted the first time-lapse photographic
activities for plant growth (these were used by Walt Disney in one of his films
circa 1972). Additionally, Dr. Ott addresses the effects of tinctured lenses
on human vision in Chapter 10. Although dated in some aspects, this is an
excellent little book, with many little-known facts about the effects of
different forms of light----upon the health of mammalian visual systems....and
the emotional predispositions/wellbeing of humans. Dr. Ott's researches with
full-spectrum lighting were a principal encouragement toward our organizing our
present research group, in 1992.
Sincerely, Brooks.
