Nobody should take themselves or anyone too seriously, because everything we say tends to be AMPLIFIED by the dry, insensitive medium of text, text, text... and any insult or slight is likely to sound worse than it was intended, and our reply will be harsher still. My even making this comment risks dampening things. I mean it to be a mild, even encouraging observation, but because of my position of alleged authority and the previously mentioned harshness of the medium, it's almost impossible not to be taken too seriously... <sigh> I've been very pleased with the recent work of the list.
