Tracy ~ In the book, "Prescription for Nutritional Healing", Candidiasis, pg. 185, it suggests "To prevent reinfection, replace your toothbrush every thirty days. This is a good preventative measure against both fungal and bacterial infections of the mouth." I suppose one could rinse their toothbrush in a cup of CS water instead. I was looking up info on Candida a while back and read that you can get reinfected via a partner (drinking from the same glass, via oral contact; tho sexual contact doesn't promote infection). Pg. 184 - "Candidiasis may affect both men and women; however, it is rarely transmitted sexually. It is most common in babies (an infected mother may pass the fungal infection to her newborn) and in persons with compromised immune systems."
A good immune system will help prevent getting candida or anything else for that matter. As for candida statistics, most men don't even go to a doctor when they should and the female population out numbers the male population. The book further states, "Many cannot tolerate contact with rubber, petroleum products, TOBACCO, exhaust fumes, and chemical odors." Robb, are you listening?
