I used about a fourth to a third quart CS almost every night. Just ran it for a few hours through the humidifier (you can get it at Kmart for less than 35 bucks) .Someone on this list advised an ultrasonic humidifier and not the other types. Oh, and I also added some to her drinking water too. No, the dog needs a lot more therapy as her ailment has been a long-term problem but initially it made her cough a lot of yuck up. I now have a CS generator and have made and used about 2 quarts so far.
