Has anyone experienced an increase in the strength of a metallic taste in HVAC produced CS after allowing it to sit over a period of time.. I had never noticed such for the first couple years, but recently noticed a distinct increase in metallicity of taste. A newbie even noticed this the second day after production. I decided to try some product several months old and noticed it was extremely metallic even though i had previously never noticed much of any metallic taste from new or "aged" product.
Does anyone know a source for 2 gallon glass bottles (or larger) with a sufficiently wide mouth for HVAC production?
Has anyone ever utilized CS in conjunction with ethanol for making herbal tinctures? I sampled some fresh green black walnut hull tincture utilizing CS and ethanol as the solvents last nite. Whoaaaa! Man was it potent... I have never had experienced such a potent tasting version as the "green" essence flavor was particularly strong. I had been consuming the same tincture using the same crop of green hulls (minus the CS). I was thinking the CS might protect the tincture...keeping it greener. I think it worked. I won't be taking a big shot in the future as i found it a challenge to keep down.
