I also thought I remember Marx advocating the use of some tap water as a starter many moons ago.  I was thinking of using some baking soda in my next batch just to see how the production process differs.  Perhaps it will  speed up production.  Is it possibile that CO2 from the bicarb may influence the production?

Has anyone tried "stirring" their CS in production by using an aquarium pump to circulate the water?  I had a problem with my 15kv 60milliamp HVAC unit creating too much heat at the top of the reaction vessel, with concommitant buildup of condensation on the lid (and excess stress to the grommets holding my electrode plugs).  The air pump method produces a temperature homogeneous product that requires no delays in shutting down to stir.  This system dissipates or prevents excessive condensation.  This definitely speeds up the process of production for my system.  I am curious about the addition of  bicarbonate-sodium.  I know some electrode configurations I use produce an acidic solution, whereas some do not.

I believe I originally ran across the air pump stirring method after reading an email from Jon Brooks MD.  Was he the guy who would always add these dancing cats or something of the sort to his email postings....and was removed from the list after being warned several times?  Anyway, he claimed that his extremely low voltage DC (i think it was around 6 to 8 volts if i remember correctly) produced excellent CS when bubbled with ambient air via aquarium pump.  Dr Jon Brooks had previously proclaimed his faith in an extremely high voltage system. (what a flip-flop)  The extremely high voltage system (which was supposed to be in line for some type of patent for its unprecendented efficacy) utilized a million volts HVAC, which he believed at the time to be the Holy Grail of CS.  Apparently the hype failed to yield the hope.  Dr Jon Brooks lost faith in the million volt system and embraced the 6 or 8 volt DC with aquarium pump.  Perhaps someone more technicapable can determine whether the air bubbled process produces better performing CS (or perhaps someone already has, I have been off the list for a spell).  I simply think it makes my process easier, safer, and quicker.  Am I introducing toxic air pollutants into my product? (especially in conjunction with 15kvolt 60milliamps AC?)

Has anyone experienced  excellent therapeutic benefits with those suffering from GERD?  I think that is what they call that gastro esophogeal reflex disorder or whatever.  A recent visitor complained of this disorder with a history of over a year duration...other family members residing at the same locale also suffered.  He consumed approximately 6 ounces of 10 ppm CS produced with the 15kvolt system.  Although he was originally quite skeptical, he noticed instant relief.  He started consuming small quantities (1-2 ounce) on his own every few days after he thought it started to show signs of returning a week later.  He insisted that we make enough product to send his mother a half gallon (i overheard him tell his mom that he no longer suffered from the GERD ever since drinking this silver catalyzed water).

jd (please forgive me if i am rehashing old stories)
