I think that a fresh batch works better than a two week old batch. This is of 
no consequence unless everyone around you is sick. I try and go for the 
slowest cook time I can get away with by using a resistor for current limit. 
I figure the batch is burned when black streamers are flying off of the 
electrodes. I usually drink it anyway (gave up on coffee filters a long time 
ago). A little silver oxide is probably good for you. It's not good for 
goldfish.

Nothing much to worry about though, it'll still work..it just could be
excellent rather than adequate.
