I would say this about modern agriculture:  it can be greatly improved
through the use of Higa's Essential Microorganisms, and home gardners
can make use of the stuff to create superb compost out of household
garbage.   Bottom line:  foods grown in soil improved by EM is delicious
and nutritious.  I buy some locally in Japan from time to time, and the
taste -- ooishi!!!!    

Americans are doing EM farming now.  This is a trend I expect to grow
and grow.  EM may be more important than genetic tinkering in the long
run, and a heck of a lot safer.
