I'm a soft contact lens wearer and when needed I do not hesitate to use CS while wearing them. This isn't a daily thing and see no reason why one would want to do this. I have noticed no difference when I use it or when I don't.
My optometrist only told me to be careful in the shower because the water could "wash" the lens from my eye. I was also told not to use eye drops (Visine, and such) not specifically for soft contact lenses because some component could cause the lens to become less flexible and/or cloudy. He wasn't specific about which chemical was the culprit. I've had my contacts for 3 years or so now and during that time I've treated a developing sty once and used CS probably a dozen times when I thought it was warranted and as I said I noticed no negative effects.
