With a range of 1 to 999 PPM, the reading will not have decimals.
When using it, double the reading to get microsiemens which 'fairly' closely resembles PPM in "CS" according to spectro analysis comparisons.

That .001 is actually a 1 and can be from 0 to 1.9+ due to the lack of resolution. [no decimal places]
A zero can be from 0 to .9x. PPM in saline, or 0 to 1.9xx uS/ PPM in CS.
The .005 is a 5 [between 4.x and 5.9xx], or around 10 uS or about 10 PPM in CS.
You get the idea.

Meters are useful, but certainly nothing to be used to fuel an arguement.
The resolution on this meter is pretty bad, but what the heck...the price is right and it's not useless.

It's more accurate than it 'needs' to be for this application.

'Using' CS is sorta like hunting distant squirrels with a shotgun. If you got dinner, who cares about how many leaves on the tree have a few holes in them, if the tree doesn't mind?
[Using a lot of small shot, with some sort of aim, increases the odds of getting dinner? ..and 'you', the tree, is very tolerant to stray shot. It just bounces off and falls out with the squirrels.]

I just purchased a TDS1 Total Dissolved Solids Tester from <http://www.sunstoneherbals.com>www.sunstoneherbals.com for $16.95. Shows my distilled water from WalMart is .001 and finished product with my Silver Puppy is .005 with one cycle and .007 with a cycle and + - 8 minutes more. I think this is a great deal and want to share it with the list.
