It was about 30 years ago shortly after the first reports of DMSO helping arthritic patients came out. I used to have the source but unfortunately my house burned down last December...and all of my references, sources, etc. are now ashes. Dr. Kenney PS: It was a "big deal" at the time and the report almost caused DMSO not to be released for topical use at the time. I am sure there have been many studies on DMSO since then and know that it is used topically, orally and even IV by some.
