No, it would be unchanged. When you start with tap water you have minerals, such as calcium, potassium and so forth, and the other ions such as chlorine, fluorine, carbonate. The ionizer separates these to produce an alkaline stream with the minerals such as calcium and potassium hydroxide, and an acid stream that contains the chlorine, fluorine, and carbon dioxide. If you start with distilled water, there is nothing to separate and send to the two streams, both would still be distilled water.
