My wife and I are now watching, as we do every year, the memorial service on
PBS. We are on the west coast so it is delayed. We are both crying (we are
both ex-USAF), But not from any Xenophobia. Because so many have defended
the very concept of the freedom of the individual, whoever he or she may be.
