Damndest situation I ever heard of...
I wouldn't expect a degausser to help but it would be cheap enough to
try.
Radio Shack carries them.
If you don't mind being stared at, maybe you could tell the clerk
you'd like to try before you buy.
Or just buy it and return it if it doesn't help.
Another thought for temporary relief, get a sports mouth guard for
your teeth to keep them away from your tongue.
