Hi Trem and the rest of you who graciously responded!! Great suggestions about the use of the mouth guard, I actually began wearing my mouth guard 24/7 to see if it would help. It did a little bit on the contact surfaces (fibroma) but the overall tongue was still being fried by the current flowing in the saliva. A real horrible side issue to this nightmare is that I can't take CS. When I initially started having this fried tongue thing, I was swishing the mouth with CS every hour or so hoping to calm it down. The increased conductance offered by the CS actually caused my tongue to get worse. (There Mike, I talked about CS <BIGSMILE>). I am very concerned about the possibility of the fibroma being cancerous, I have not had it biopsied because I believe that once you cut into a possible cancer, you greatly reduce your options at treating it because of metastasis. I am currently getting some treatments from an extraordinary device called the Vibe Machine www.vibemachine.com <http://www.vibemachine.com/> and have spoken to 2 individuals who formerly had stage 3-4 liver and pancreatic cancer, who are now in remission. One of them still had some necrotic tissue (scarring) where the cancer used to be. Amazing technology. I'll let you know how it turns out.
I am truly amazed that the allopathic medical community has quickly washed its hands of my condition. When speaking to the ENT, he said he had never heard of the condition. I showed him the charts of the amps coming out of the crowns and asked if he had any ideas what might help. He said that before he could offer suggestions he had to believe that I actually HAD that condition. In other words, he was afraid to admit that I had electricity coming out of my crowns that is frying my tongue!! He said no doctor would conduct any testing on the problem because of the legal issues surrounding it. He stuck with his diagnosis of Ideopathic (non-specified cause) geographic tongue. He didn't care to discuss the amps.................. Hugs al
