I had the same thing for about six months, doubling over in severe abdominal
pain and on the brink of collapse until a friend of mine suggested Acidophilus
pills. I take two Rexall Brand Acidophilus (bottle says over one billion live
organisms per tablet at time of manufacture) pills per day over 2 hours after
taking CS. This definitely has made the difference for me and my family and I
haven't had any intestinal discomfort since. My friend, Chet - 77y.o. and
looks 55y.o., has been buying his from the local health food store who sell the
stronger, refrigerated variety of Acidophilus for those who want to spend a few
more dollars. Also, you are correct when you state that yogurt is also good
for us, especially those of us who take CS. It has natural Acidophilus in it
but no one knows just how much you have to eat to make a difference. I buy my
Rexall Brand Acidophilus at Wal-Mart and spend about $6.00 for 100 tablets.
Hope this helps you.

I have read so many letters lately from the list that has complaints of
stomach problems, has anyone tried to use natural enzymes and replace what may
have been stripped from other things? I know buttermilk,,warm in a small glass
lightly salted is ok> and yogurt are 2 biggies,<yoplait works and tastes pretty
good> also the health sections of most stores will have things like papaya
enzymes, these are wonderful after a stomach virus has run through, maybe your
stomachs are stripped of thier natural enzymes and they need to be replaced.
Just a thought, hope it helps someone.
          Godspeed all, Lisa.
