Hi, Rowena, Thanks very much for all the helpful information and websites about mold. I am wondering if the mold in my house is a dangerous kind since I am not sick in the usual ways described. This is what puzzles my doctors so much that I am not in severe pain, although it approaches severe in my right abdomen ****Ruth the first thing I think of when you say right abdomen....is illeocall (sp) valve. Where abouts in your right abdomen...say...from the belly button...lower ..higher? I used to go to a chiropractor who would sometimes "clear" this valve area..painful as the dickens but did help with bowel problems. So I read up on it and it seems that the Illeocal Valve..often blocks up. The chiropractor says popcorn for instance will mess with it big time. I also found that drinking pineapple juice is a great way to clear this valve. I assume you have ruled out problems with the appendix? If the pain is higher than the belly button...have you thought about gall problems? p.s. Organic Pineapple Juice...in a glass bottle. I think its very bad for the system to drink any thing acidic from cans. V. oh, also..what is a "floppy" bowel? when I waken during the night to go to the bathroom, but it does not usually keep me awake. I go right back to sleep after the bathroom trip. I think I will call the County Health Nurse about this and see what she has to offer re diagnosing the type of mold present in my house. This whole area used to be a swamp I am told. The railroad bought the land years ago and drained a good deal of it. Actually just one house east of mine, the land was still a swamp until a couple of year ago. Migrating water birds would stop there and we could enjoy the sound of frogs croaking in spring. The whole area has now been drained with varying success. A neighbor across the street from me had his basement flooded recently due to some malfunction of the main pump used by the town to keep the water levels low. A nursing home has been built on a higher portion of that ground. I am told that you used to be able to row a boat from the closest town to the west , to Gibbon where I live. You have given me some good starting places for research. thanks again. Ruth >From Ruth Strackbein ************************************** AOL now offers free email to everyone.
