All too often, because people do not believe in their own reality and holiness, they follow ancient habitual patterns of becoming worthy and getting ready. Often, it is this very path that holds their vision to a blunted, not quite ready state. Since they are already ready, and already real and already holy....and already there....it really doesn't make a bit of difference except in terms of their own comfort and enjoyment of joining their willingness back into their vision to let it represent wholeness instead of methodological inventiveness.Once again I reiterate that, regardless of ACIM, there is only one block to seeing love's presence. That block revolves around the simple fact that we ARE love. Since we are love, then block or blocks to love's presence is really simply failing (through unwillingness) to admit the whole knowledge of self into vision absent of active denial. In other words, the only block is unwillingness to look. No amount of study of spiritual books and ideas, no amount of mountain hideaway spiritual retreats and workshop intensives, no amount of studied skill in psychology and methods of treatments for self and others...can go where looking can go. There isn't anything complicated or intellectual about looking. It is this very simplicity that we resist so vehemently. The complexity comes from resisting looking and finding every possible avenue and clever idea to get ready to see that stands blocking....and only looking can remedy that resistance. Decoys and delays abound on every hand, from painful experiences to familial requirements to quantum leap series found exciting, ad infinitum. Again, all fine such as they are (even though we say we don't want the painful ones). Fine that is, as long as they are done simultaneously with looking, for without looking, seeing is impossibly bound up by denial, even though we do actually wholly see now. What method could ever be devised that could make one see what they use every ounce of energy they can find to block and resist seeing? And why would one want to devise such a method instead of looking? Is there some problem with looking? Is this fear described in ACIM's Chaptere 13, Section 3 like a baddy monster, holding us by the throat? I think not. But if it seems really really scary....do some EFT. There...a method...but not to help one see, but to help one not be so charged, which charge "seems to" empower their denial ploys to do their self-deceitful work.
