I have installed SIMS on my Wallstreet Powerbook to run as a SMTP server for when I travel. Normally, the laptop boots into 10.2.4, and runs SIMS in classic.
I haven't tried this, but I think it won't work. Theoretically, you could use the loopback address 127.0.0.1 as Eudora's SMTP server.
The problem I've seen is that you get Kernel Panics if an OS X app tries to talk to a Classic App using TCP/IP.
However, I haven't tried this recently, so it may be all better now. If you try it, let me know if it fixes things.
It still doesn't work if you try to use Eudora in OSX, with SIMS running in Classic. However, if you boot into 9 and runs SIMS with the loopback address, it works fine. Haven't tried running Eudora in classic yet, but will give that a shot.
Thanks to everyone for your help.
