I am afraid that we would have to extend the analogy a bit further in
the case of entities such as FutureBen, described in Ben's essay.
FutureBen would be to current Ben like your current self is to your
former embryo-self.

That raises another question. FutureBen may have all memories of
CurrentBen stored somewhere in his (its?) system, but once he decides
to access that system, will he even comprehend them? Maybe I have
memories from when I was as a foetus or something, but I don't think
that I would either recognize or understand those memories...
