The long and the short of it is that Richard and Eliezer got into a slagging match about who had the longest dick and Eliezer lost his temper and booted Richard. When it comes down to it, we've all done stupid crap like that; it's part of human nature, we get on with our lives.
(For what it's worth, I think Eliezer's a brilliantly eloquent philosopher, particularly in his writing about Bayesian epistemology.
