Hi,

Thanks for the response.  I agree that if the 487 is forwarded early the
transaction is over.  Can the proxy store the 487 and send it after the
second dialog is established.   If no final response is sent for the
initial dialog established by F4 and F5, when will this gets cleared?  Is
it by timeout?

Thanks for your comments on the draft.

If the proxy forwarded the 487 to A, the INVITE transaction would be over
and A would think the call  failed, as only one final (2xx-6xx) response
can be received for a request.
