Hi,

What you said is right, I can use the same If i have received a nonce in the earlier message. But I was asking about the very first time, Can we send an Authentication information with Invite to the Proxy?

Another question is, suppose the proxy challenge and authenticated the UA using re-invite . Does the proxy authenticate the UA nexttime when it send the invite? Is it mandatory to have auth information for all the invite initated from the UA to proxy?

Thanks
Jijo

If its not there server might assume the last know nonce and try to
analyse the credentials....

When a client generates credentials upon a challenge, it would cache the
credentials for some time... which would be sent in the subsequent
INV/REG request/responses. Same is valid on server side also....

U can always send the authentication details in the initial requests to

If those credentials do not match the one in proxy/server it would
challenge as usual.
