From: John Williams <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> 2. Is it necessary to retransmit an ACK if a transport error occured while sending the first ACK ?
If you don't retransmit the ACK, the UAS (since it hasn't seen the ACK) will retransmit the final response, which should stimulate the UAC to retransmit the ACK. 3. More generally, is it necessary to retransmit a request if a transport error occured (creating a new transport) ? I think it is not necessary, but I am not sure. If you want the request to get to the UAS you will have to retransmit it, since your first attempt at transmitting it failed!
