I'd like to have support for 1.6 removed.  

Polycom firmware is up to 3.0.3 now, and 3.1 is soon to be released.
Even grand-fathered 300/500 sets can run a "2.0" compatible version of
firmware (2.1.3).

If anyone can find a reason to keep 1.6 support, please let me know.
Otherwise, I'll raise a JIRA to have it removed.
