Probably the most appropriate Patton for you would be the >Patton SmartNode 4114, which has 4 FXO's and no FXS. >Regards, >Keith. > >There are sample configs on the wiki. As regards the steep learning curve, I've yet to find a gateway that didn't have one that was nearly vertical, and had a crummy user interface to boot. I managed to get an Audiocodes partially operational over a couple of days of trial and error, and didn't get it fully working until I found a new firmware and someone who had used one before. Not using the GUI is almost impossible as the command line is gibberish. I failed to get my Samsung operational at all, and it took a Samsung engineer 5 hours and a firmware update to get it going, and even now it does not fully work with Sip-X.. The web interface is nice, but is written in Engrish and only works with very old versions of Java which I had to find in their archives. The command line is a Cisco rip-off, so is the best way for that if you are Cisco trained. A beginner would have no hope at all. I have dealt with one Patton, and it was the least troublesome so far. The web interface was basic but functional, and by this time I had enough experience to work out what most of it was about. It didn't take too long to get a result with it, but your mileage may vary.
