Problem solved! Looks like updating to 3.2.3 bootrom and equivalent sip software 2.1.3, and upgrading sipx to 4.2 did the trick.
Now so far I was able to contact the other location without issues. I haven't tested all functionality but apparently this was the biggest issue with multiple locations last week.
