Um, G711 uses no more than 83k including overhead.

If you don't have an extra 40-50k it doesn't really matter. G729 does drop
calls like hot potatoes as compared to G711.

Where do you get 128k?

yes, but if the bandwidth is that bad, the 128K G.711 uses vs 32K on G.729a,

if you don't have 32K, what happens when you don't have 128K?
