Have yet to receive answers from IBM but the problem went away on an HP stand alone server.
Wish I understood why the problem just recently showed up because I've been using these blades for about a year and a half and never saw the problem. At least now I know about it so can work on that and see if the problem can be resolved on non production servers. I'll also try one of my IBM x3655 servers and see what happens.
