I am sure you looked into the way we ended up doing voicemail. The decision to not use VM in FS but create a new one at the time was based on the need to have compatibility with what sipXecs provided previously. Therefore, the first step was to replicate the old system on FS. --martin From: Michal Bielicki [mailto:michal.bieli...@seventhsignal.de] Sent: Wednesday, August 11, 2010 2:10 AM To: mstei...@gmail.com Cc: 'Michael Scheidell'; sipx-users@list.sipfoundry.org Subject: Re: [sipx-users] success. wav to mp3 in email Masochist :P I think the whole idea of doing a freeswitch controlling voicemail in java is a bit of an overkill. My suggestion was to replace this by a far more lightweight lua script within freswitch, which would give the options of rapid changes and fixes and add there multi file format capabilities, so users could select which format they would like their voicemail emails to have. Its on my todo for end of the month. Gone for a week ... (rpm) installed mutt to put them back together. (yum) if you don't understand any of this, don't try it, dont email me, don't ask. (don't try this at home!) once you do the above, email me and I'll send you the scripts. looks like I can get about a 75% to 90% reduction in the size of the attachment, sometimes. mutt does a nasty job of putting these back together, but they are usable. (yes, I like to do things the hard way. I have 48 cisco 7960 phones working on sipx. all except remote, but I did buy a second polycom phone to try it) -- Michael Scheidell, CTO o: 561-999-5000 d: 561-948-2259 ISN: 1259*1300 > | SECNAP Network Security Corporation · Certified SNORT Integrator · 2008-9 Hot Company Award Winner, World Executive Alliance · Five-Star Partner Program 2009, VARBusiness · Best in Email Security,2010: Network Products Guide · King of Spam Filters, SC Magazine 2008 _____ This email has been scanned and certified safe by SpammerTrap®.
