Hey Michael, I didnt setup anything in Sipx (no auto attendant, no DID).. All I did was to create a user in SIPX and then send u...@sipxipaddress from my VoIP gateway and that makes the user phone ring..so it worked without me creating any rules or dial plans.
To be honest, I dont know how SIPx is handling this since I dont have any special rule/dial plan setup.. to me, I think it is inbound -> directly to user From: sipx-users-boun...@list.sipfoundry.org [mailto:sipx-users-boun...@list.sipfoundry.org] On Behalf Of Michael Picher Sent: Friday, November 26, 2010 5:58 AM To: thod...@frontier.com; Discussion list for users of sipXecs software Subject: Re: [sipx-users] Disable user to user calls There is no routing based on source #... Sorry to shoot you down Todd... :-) How are these calls coming in to the system? Gateway? SIP Trunk? This solution is going to be a total hack job (if it can be done)... but it kind of sounds pretty screwed up to begin with. Add new "Custom" plan from the dropdown On the template, give it a name, click on enable, then set the dial rule. IF you have 3 digit extensions as an example, that start with 7, then build a rule under Dialed Number of Prefix "7", and "2 digits" Drop to Resulting Call and enter a number to call when they dial a 3 digit extension. You could build an auto attendant that they reach that gives them a personal auto attendant of numbers they can reach - managers, HR, etc. From: sipx-users-boun...@list.sipfoundry.org<mailto:sipx-users-boun...@list.sipfoundry.org> [mailto:sipx-users-boun...@list.sipfoundry.org<mailto:sipx-users-boun...@list.sipfoundry.org>] On Behalf Of David Sharafy Sent: Monday, November 22, 2010 4:14 PM To: sipx-users@list.sipfoundry.org<mailto:sipx-users@list.sipfoundry.org> Subject: [sipx-users] Disable user to user calls Hi, I have a setup that requires users on Sipx to receive calls only and not be able to call each other.. how can I disable a user from calling another extension?
