No email is set up in sipXecs for that extension, and the voicemail is not IMAP
enabled.

However, I did just enable email on that box so I should get the emails sent
when the messages come in. That way the email address will have a copy even if
the user deletes it.

One thing to find out is if the message date was determined by email. If so,
the mail system could easily delay a message for 9 days depending on how mail
servers were setup etc. The date in email would be the date it came in, not the
date it was sent.

Subject: [sipx-users] Voicemail delayed getting to user

I'm not even sure if this is in the realm of possibility or my end users aren't
telling me the truth, but:

I got someone calling me saying that they received a voicemail today and called
the patient back. The patient was very confused on why she was getting a call
back, as she left the voicemail 9 days ago and after she didn't get a call back
she managed to get ahold of someone else. The voicemail message envelope said
the date/time was today, about 20 minutes ago.

I can understand if the MWI light doesn't light up on occasion, but the message
would still be there when they go to check for other messages.

But is there anything that could delay a message from being delivered like this?
