I saw rbs mentioned and didn't see why it matters except 4 old installations Where you are trying to integrate to ancient pbx systems. Rbs and ni1 and ni2 can all be done on patton gateways at the same time (ie each t1 interface using different protocol). I don't know if it matters though. Audiocodes GW's don't have those issues, and with any luck Adtran has nailed those issues down with their latest A5 release but I don't really know. I do have pesky issues with call park and call park return, but not sure that's a gateway issue. They may have fixed this with later releases, I haven't checked recently. The price per port on the Adtran TA908e is phenomenal, and it's an awesome device with full routing capabilities to boot. It has: * 2x data T1 * 2x PRI/CAS (robbed bit) T1 * 8x FXS (on a 50 pin Amphenol connector) * 1x emergency FXO * 2x 10/100mbps ethernet * B2BUA/SBC * stand alone survivability If they fixed all the SIP stack issues then you can get all that for around $1,900 or so. This includes support and a 10 year warranty. On Thu, Mar 22, 2012 at 9:03 AM, Mark A. They are very efficient and definitely popular in carrier space. Unless I'm looking to do some very specific things like NENA 03-002 MF CAMA termination which requires an AudioCodes or NET gateway, we almost always spec an IOS voice router (they exist in many companies edge already) or ADTRAN TA.
