I guess there is some problem with the sipxtapi SDK itself, it did not support authentication in my case. If you can trace your messages, you would see that sipxtapi never replies to 401/407 challenge messages.

Just wondering why this basic support is not available with sipxtapi?

Workaround for you till this gets fixed would be to disable authentication on server side ;-)
