I would use it with SPEEX. The echo canceler works well, but the auto gain
control and noise suppression doesn't You can turn each one on and off through
the sipxtapi api.

    Hi Charlie,

Should I use sipXTapi with SPEEX or without SPEEX?

When I build sipXtapi without SPEEX, the remote party complaint He only
hear his echo.

    Thanks

Sounds like you have auto gain control enabled. This is a known issue
with Speex. There are some tuning parameters that MIGHT be able to help (look
at the speex_preprocess resource in sipx_medialib.)

      Otherwise, turn of the AGC.

sipxtapi is the more stable of the branches. They should stay fairly
close for voice, but media-update is being used to develop video support.

        Hi,

I build branches\sipXTapi with SPEEX support.

When I call some with my soft phone. After remote party answer the call.
Both sides hear very strong backgound Noise.

My computer is window 2000 workstation.

Do have to do something in the init sip step?

Secondy, I like to know Branches\SipXTapi or
Branches\sipXTapsipXtapi-media-update, which one is more stable?

        Thanks
