Ill try to post more packet activity. Do you want me to post the packet
content, because I thought I had captured pretty much all the messages in the
two images.I did not have a microphone attached yet. Will RTP packets only flow
when I am actually talking in to a microphone?Date: Tue, 14 Aug 2007 11:04:34

outbound RTP packetsCC: [EMAIL PROTECTED],Ethereal captures of the SIP messages
would have helped. Please set the capture filter to Filter: sip || icmp || rtp.
Please post it here, somebody could notice the problem.Best,Amith

I have an application that is modeled after placecall/receivecall. I am able to
successfully able to connect to/from a remote sip client (xlite) from my
application. Once I connect I am able to hear the audio that is streaming from
that client. However I am not seeing RTP traffic coming from my client to the
remote client. The RTP traffic only seems to come from the remote client into
my application.
I have captured some of the traffic with wireshark. I posted both of the images
on photobucket at the following links (I wasnt sure if it was ok to attach
these images to this e-mail):

In these images the my client is 172.21.6.115. The remote client (xlite) is at
172.21.3.120. The sip server is at 172.21.6.218. Notice in the first image I
have highlighted a single line showing an "unknown RTP version" packet going
from my client to the xlite client. This is the only RTP traffic that I seem to
see. Notice that there is a lot of RTP traffic coming from the xlite client
(120) to mine. That, of course, is why I can hear the audio coming from xlite,
but it cant hear any audio coming from me.
Why do you think my application not sending RTP packets? I need packets to go
out, because the remote application (not xlite.. just testing with xlite) will
shut down the connection if it does not receive RTP.
