Right now I'm chasing down the possibility that the switch is not dealing with jumbo frames. Since I'm in gig land, that's something that warrants attention. (Ugh, it's Friday, 5pm....)
No switch, we're OK. Switch, we have issues. I'm this -><- close to the final and proper resolution. (Note, walking down to machine room and moving a patch cable 32 times is NOT "proper"- hee hee hee...). No problems with auto-neg (I too came from those same dark ages), or duplicate IP.
