Thanks... that did it. I was right-clicking on the file, selecting "Open with..." from the popup menu, selecting "Other...", choosing "Preview" from the Applications folder, and checking "Always Open With" checkbox, but that wasn't working. Doing the same via Finder... Get Info... did the trick.
