Probably not :).

Ah, the help pages. Unfortunately, the developers (Mike, Christiaan, and I)
wrote the documentation, since we've never been able to con any users into
doing it. This means that it's written from a developer's perspective, and
likely has the wrong focus in some (many?) areas. If you find the
documentation lacking in any specific ways, please file a bug report on the
sourceforge tracker.

If you're referring to the BibDesk web site, that's another can of
worms...it does a lousy job describing the current functionality, since it's
several years out of date. My HTML abilities are limited to updating the
download link on the main page.

What were you looking for in the help pages? What functionality do you need
or want? I've been using it for 6 years, so I don't have a new user
perspective...

BibDesk isn't a replacement for DEVONThink as far as the AI/relationship
features (AFAICT from their website), and it's editing/annotation
capabilities are oriented towards bibliography. However, here's an
abbreviated laundry list of features, many of which aren't mentioned on the
web pages:

- you can create a database of "publications" which can be user defined
types
- add your own fields and types
- group references by field, smart groups, static groups
- import from text sources/scrape web sites
- search z39.50 sources (e.g. Library of Congress)
- search PubMed, DBLP, Web of Science
- attach multiple files of any type to a publication
- index content of all files in the database
- search content of all publication data (incl. Skim notes)
- view thumbnails of all files
- export as HTML/RSS/XML/RTF/... using your own templates
- share references via Bonjour
- search all references from Spotlight
- implement missing features with AppleScript
