Sure, I have been doing that for a while and was just wondering about a
one-keypress solution (especially since Select Content is not assigned
to a keyboard shortcut ...)

Ah, great point ! Indeed using applescript makes a lot of sense (I don't
know why I didn't think of it before). Actually a 2-line applescript
does exactly what I wanted, and my question is now moot.

Now Skim is really perfect :-)
