I often crop my PDFs in Skim to eliminate white-space and get more readable font size on screen, reading 2 pages side-by-side. It works great. One small side effect, though, reduces the readability: when the white space is removed, the text column for left and right pages come very close together, as the gutter separating the two pages remains the same.
So the 2 text columns become crunched together in the middle, while there is a lot of empty space to left + right of the screen. Any way the gutter size could be made tweak-able e.g. via a preference, or intelligently enlarge itself?
