I added four EaglieFiler Applescripts to the Skim wiki Applescript page.
pdfd_to_pdf
pdf_embed-to-pdf
pdf_w_annotations-to-pdf_embed
pdf_w_annotations-to-pdfd
These scripts build on EagleFiler's pdf-to-pdf_bundle script and
can help the Skim-EagleFiler-Dropbox workflow and, more generally,
help make consistent the various formats in which one might have saved
Skim pdf files in EaglerFiler.
EagleFiler users should use either the pdf_w_annotations-to-pdfd
script (above) or EF's pdf-to-pdf_bundle script on files managed
by EagleFiler rather than the bash script provided earlier in this
thread. This allows EagleFiler to transfer tags and other EF metadata
associated with these files.
Users of other file management (tagging, etc.) applications
should similarly convert file types from within those applications
rather than using the bash script. Perhaps the above scripts can serve
as templates.
The bash script is fine for files outside the control of file
management applications.
