Hi Doug,

I can see numbers 5 and 7 good to work on.

I'm carrying this over from the marrie.org days because I didn't get
an answer sent out before we moved.

Jim, I agree with all but item 4 below. Item 4 has been discussed
before, and I think the complexity is not outweighed by the
convenience. I still can't reproduce item 1 though, and I don't
really understand what you want in item 7. The rest should be
forwarded to Skype directly for action. I'm forwarding the help
balloon and tab-control-in-tab-order suggestions to them myself.

at it again.
Things that need to be done.
1. Take the links for events out or make it where when you use them skype
does not crash. I can reproduce this on every system I got.
2. put the tab controls in the tab order.
3. a focusable tool bar in the skype chat so one can use the features of
the tool bar in the chat window. This is mainly for thoughs who are not
using jaws.
 4. More hot keys and the option to have them active when the program has
focus or global.
5. a check box in the installer program to turn on accessibility features.
I mean having them in the menu is all well and good but if you can't access
the menu in the first place to turn them on tell they are turned on does not
do much good yes?
6. a new accessability option to use standard help balloons for alerts and
notafacations.
This will allow all screen reader to inform you what is going on no more
need for skype watch.
7. while not a major access issue but sound that kind of give you the user
an idea of what is going on! Sounds that maybe the user can figure out
which one is wich.
My thoughts for what they are worth.

Be sure to check the two options in the Accessibility submenu of the
View menu before deciding whether Skype 3.6 is accessible. <grin>

The scripts help, mostly with chats I suppose, but are not absolutely
essential for using Skype 3.6. The Skype team has done a lot of work
to make things accessible to users of all screen readers, not just
JAWS.

required or even recommended for it?

I currently have Skype version 3.6.0.216 installed on my system, and
find it to be only marginally accessible.
