Yes the sound was heard on both ends of the call. And, one of the reasons that I'm pretty sure the problem is on my side is that after the first incident, I continued hearing the sound even after I hung up from that first call. The sound became increasingly loud and dominant. I apparently had to reboot the computer to get it to stop. On the second call, it stopped as soon as the call was terminated without having to reboot. Also, on both calls the first perhaps 45 minutes of the calls went just fine. I hope someone can suggest further steps or suggest how I can get trouble-shooting help. Thanks.
